MOON LETTERS : TOOKISH TICKLERS
"There and Back Again"- A TORnsib's Tale - Thevina
"To Bellevue all Bashers!" the TORn board didst call
And off I went, indeed
New friends to meet, fleshly and all
Heretofore in Barlis with mead.
Wednesday eve we supped and drank
Putting faces and nicks together
For our few days together we did thank
"Let's see Seattle- we like this weather!"
'Round the Space Needle, Pike's Place and the Docks
Bashers roamed far and wide
I joined "The Seven," my friend building blocks
"Six in a Honda???? No mind!"
Thursday eve, theatre-bound, Bashers gathered
"FotR," said we, with vigor and vim
Together we laughed and cried and cheered
"May It Be"- the Bashers' Hymn!
Friday night, to this Basher's delight
Saw Elves and Hobbits and Queens
"Figwit lives- in black pants tight!"
A N âzgul enters- hear the screams!
Our tables spread, we all did dine
And raise our glasses thusly:
"To TORnstaff! To Curunir!" and (the fave of mine)
"To JRR Tolkien, to whom we owe muchly."
Too soon, alas! Too soon
To our separate lands we departed
But in my heart the joy does balloon
Thinking of friendships just started.
And so my tale comes to an end
Tho' truly only beginning.
To you, dear reader, I make this amend:
Get yourself to Barlibash '03 and you, too, will be smiling!!
