MOON LETTERS : POETRY
Middle-Earth Haiku - by Jon Hoffman (Bando Proudfoot)

Sting

An Elvish dagger
Tamed Gollum and pierced Shelob,
Halflings wield this proud.

Glamdring the Foe-Hammer

Forged by Elven-smiths
Gandalf's blade and Balrog's bane,
Has slain many foes.

Old Man Willow

In the Old Forest
A miserable Huorn remained,
To trap the hobbits.

Erebor

Thrain's Lonely Mountain
Ravaged by a foul, cruel Worm,
Dwarves yearn for vengeance.

Bard

Guardsman of Lake-Town
Killed Smaug with the Black Arrow,
Hence was crowned Dale's King.
