MOON LETTERS : TOOKISH TICKLERS
Make It Black - Frodo Hoy
Make it Black, sung to the tune of "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones
Say you're a reporter and you land that exclusive interview at Barad-dur. You pass through the Morannon and are escorted to the inner sanctum of the Dark Lord. No lamp, no open windows, just blackness and....a glowing red eye.... it speaks.
(Enter the sitar-like music and drums...)
You see a red eye in my eerie tower flat.
No other colors anywhere but red on black.
Come see my minions all dressed in their tattered clothes.
With their red on black shields don't they strike a comely pose?
I told my decorator, "Make my curtains black."
He rolled out navy blue - I gave that swine the sack.
I had one glimpse of blue then quickly turned away.
Like a little baby I just want things all my way.
My wraiths dropped by last night to plan our next attack.
I ordered coffee for us all - that's ten, all black.
We went out to break our fast at Shelob's Pancake Shack.
The specialty was had by all - a flapjack stack, all black.
Say, did I mention that my favorite color's black?
My front door, stables and the halls are painted black.
Have you noticed blood is mostly tinted brilliant red?
Coursing through the veins of orcs is ebony instead.
You see a red eye in my eerie tower flat.
My looking glass reveals my red eye glaring back.
I hate my colored eye, I want it painted black!
No more sun, that's my goal, I want my whole world black.
hmmm, hmmm, hmm,...
I want it to be painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
Don't wanna see the sun up in the sky
Grab that brush and make it, make it, make it, make it black
Yeah!
