MOON LETTERS : POETRY
"Town of Bree" (to the tune of "Sloop John B") - by Shana Irima

We come to the town of Bree
My three buddies and me
To the Prancing Pony we did roam
No sign of our friend
Could this be the end?
Well I feel so broke up
I want to go home

(Chorus)
So don’t put the One Ring on
See how the great Eye burns
Call for Gandalf the Grey, let me go home
Let me go home
I wanna go home, yeah yeah
Well I feel so broke up
I wanna go home

Pippin shot off his mouth
My alias went due south
Then a ranger came and took me away
Aragorn
Why don’t you leave me alone, yeah yeah
Well I feel so broke up
I wanna go home

(Chorus)

The Nazgûl came into town
Rode the gatekeeper down
Went to the hobbit-sized room and tore up the beds
Let me go home
Why don’t they let me go home?
This is the worst trip I’ve ever been on

(Chorus, fade out)
